Yōmei Bunko The Time Capsule of the Millennium
An introduction to "Yomei Bunko", an unique museum which houses ancient documents and crafts that have been passed down through generations by the Konoe family for more than 1000 years. Konoe family is the descendant of the Fujiwara clan the imperial regents since the 8th century. The museum is located in Kyoto, and is only known amongst researchers and scholars as it is not open to the public. The video shows the archive of the museum and covers the history and the importance of the museum.
The video was commissioned by the Suginami city as part of the renovation project of "Tekigai-so", former residence of the Konoe family in Tokyo. The video will be shown at the residence as part of the exhibition to show the audience the history and the legacy of the family.
